Inés Jimm

Her paintings capture the vulnerability of deep sleep, exploring trust, innocence and intimacy.
Influenced by her experience as one of Spain’s first influencers, her works portray subjects in their most liberated and natural state, inviting the viewer to decide between the discomfort of invading the private or the peace of intimacy.
She uses dark circles under the eyes as an autobiographical metaphor and shows the chaos of awakening with unfinished strokes.
Inés Jimm, born in 1996 in Seville, has a Master’s degree in Digital Art and Illustration and another in 2D Animation. She has exhibited her work in various galleries and fairs, and has been a juror for art awards. Her work has been featured in national publications and newspapers.

Inés Jimm is a figurative painter born in Seville and raised between Murcia and Seville. She has lived in Madrid and London, starting her artistic career in illustration and publishing more than five books, two of them as an author.
After her last book, she dedicated herself to oil painting under the mentorship of Borja Buces in Madrid and is currently developing the project “When You Sleep”. Her work reflects the love for the everyday and the search for a home, conveying the vulnerability of the human being during sleep.
Influenced by Lucian Freud and Sorolla, she uses a loose brushstroke and neutral colour palette to explore themes of trust and purity in sleep, contrasting with the chaos of waking.
